OUTDOOR DINING STUDY, LAUDERDALE-BY-THE-SEA, FLORIDA, 2022:
We were asked to return to Lauderdale-by-the-Sea following our built plaza project seven years prior. In this study, we examined the possibility of adding outdoor seating in place of parallel parking spaces. This was, in large part, a response to the Covid-19 pandemic and a desire to facilitate the demand for outdoor dining experiences. The three studies offer scaled levels of permanence.
