MARGATE CRA MASTERPLAN, MARGATE, FLORIDA, 2022:
As a follow-up to our approved Building Design Regulations, the City of Margate CRA invited us to propose a Masterplan for their downtown. After years of strategic property acquisition, the CRA had assembled a meaningful amount of land in the heart of the City. Our proposal includes lands to the East and West of State-Road 7 / US 441 – the major arterial roadway of the City. To the east, the urban form surrounds a new water basin – simultaneously a civic space with a stepped bulkheaded edge and an active environmental storm water mitigation devise. To the west, larger mixed-use buildings provide a focal point along the City’s primary address – Margate Boulevard.
