WHO WE ARE and WHAT WE DO:
Steven Fett Architecture, Inc. is an architectural design and planning firm located in downtown Miami. Established in 2004, projects range from small to mid-sized custom residential, commercial and civic architecture, to large-scale master plans for neighborhoods and cities in the United States and abroad. The firm has won a number of important awards including the Florida Redevelopment Association’s President's Award, and the American Public Works Association’s, “Public Works Project of the Year” for his built redesign of Commercial Boulevard in downtown Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, Florida, a project he co-authored with, Jaime Correa.
Steven is also a full-time lecturer at the University of Miami, School of Architecture. as well as an assistant director of the School’s Center for Urban and Community Design. He received a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Minnesota, and a Master of Architecture and Master of Urban Design at the University of Miami. Steven is a regular contributor to the School’s Open City Studio program, an itinerant urban laboratory that travels to international cities each summer.
In addition, Steven is a founding member of the research and design firm, Monteleone, dedicated to the pursuit of sustainable civic art, a new vision in urbanism and environmentalism. Monteleone recently finished third in the international design competition to rebuild Haiti's National Cathedral in Port au Prince. The project was recently published in Architect Magazine.
Steven was recognized as one of the best young architects in Florida and wasfeatured in an exhibition entitled, “13 Young Architects in Florida.” The exhibition ran October 5 – October 30, 2011 in the Irving Korach Gallery in Miami, Fl.
